I spanked my daughter once for running away to play hide and seek in a big box store…I never spanked my son…but I was always very firm with them and as close as a father can be…even as little kids the worst thing in the world for them was if dad was upset or disappointed with them for some reason…I never explained anything twice to them….25 yrs later nothing has changed

My son got smacked on his butt when he was younger. My hubby never smacked any of the kids. His raised voice was enough to send chills down their spines and they would run for cover.
