I’ll argue for Gary Clark Jr (Blak And Blu is insanely great) as SRV’s heir, Charles, but Mr. Bonamassa is insanely great as well.

I consider myself fortunate that I got to see SRV the only time he played in Eau Claire WI. That little university gym was louder than any other concert I’ve ever seen :) but even though that was at what was supposed to be the worst of his drug/alcohol era, it remains the best hard blues I’ve ever seen, even after some serious pub crawling in Chicago.
