The problem is that almost every 5-round auto loading deer rifle would be affected.

I’ve got no problem with 5-round auto loading game rifles. I’ve got a 1938 Russian bolt action rifle. It’s an excellent deer gun. I can work the action nearly as fast as an auto-loading rifle.

But it’s the 5-round limit that makes the rifle a terrible weapon for mass shootings. It’s a pain-in-the-ass to shove another 5-round clip into the top of the rifle, with an open bolt, after the first clip pops out. Takes like four seconds. Plenty of time for effective counter fire. And then I’m dead. What fun is that?

A five round magazine could be five dead.

And this is the problem. Is there any need for any civilian to have anything faster than bolt or pump action? Because why is five better than six, and why is six better than seven?
