The first Stephen King movie I ever saw was Maximum Overdrive. That put me off Stephen King movies for a long time!

Somebody finally got me to like his movies by showing me “The Shining”, but fast-forwarding through the credits, so I wouldn’t see King’s name.

Now I realize that King has many excellent movies, and he’s not just the bad writer that I initially believed. “The Green Mile” is still one of my favorites (Although I’ve never been able to understand the deal with the constant reference to peeing in Tom Hanks’ movies?).
