re: #72 Feline Fearless Leader

That’s what I mean though, you are secure financially unless some huge mega disaster befalls you.you‘re not living beyond your means and whining about how you need more. And you’re ok, not trying to impress everyone and understanding that you aren’t beholden to a crappy job or whatever, you have freedom and don’t take it for granted. I’ll never know that feeling and I’ve worked since I was 15 yrs old(and I include my 20 yrs raising an autistic son as full time employment-because it is- I just don’t get paid in money), same for my husband. We’re blue collar, and that’s ok, but there is NO security for us, no retirement is going to happen, I don’t see how it’s feasible at this point, and it’s not because we were foolish or stupid. We followed the rules and did everything you’re supposed to do. Now we’re in our early 50s with a kid with a disability and I’m quite frankly terrified. We don’t have a lot of debt, but trying to get out from under what we do have seems impossible.

I just have a hard time feeling bad for people who don’t think they’re rich enough unless they have more than 5 million dollars. I’d trade with them in an instant.
