Personally, I always laugh my ass off when a wingnut who will scream that banning guns won’t work because people will still buy and sell guns illegally, insist that a ban on abortions will be effective at ending the practice.

It makes perfect sense to them because they see unlimited access to gunz as a God-given right, while abortion is an abdomination unto the Lord. Just like when you argue about religion-based legislation. To them it applies only to America’s only true religion, Christianity.
