Before anyone else chimes in, yes, I know I have simplified Iran a bit. They don’t force everyone to be Muslim. But they do have a state religion.

To desimplify even more, there are democratic states that have state religions as an unfortunate vestige of the past, but which are still mostly secular in practice.
