OK so you don’t teach history.

Little refresher. Kentucky was split. There were many battles there of the brother against brother variety. The legislature allied with the union and put down most of the populace who wanted to join the CSA. This happened after General Polk failed to secure the state.

These days, Kentucky is very much of the South.

IN any case, it does not change the realities of American politics one bit.

Riddle me this SFZ, why is it called the Southern Strategy? What is the Southern Strategy? Why is it working so very well in the present day South?
