They should drop the guise of them being students and simply hire them to play for the school team as professionals in what is in effect the “minor leagues” for the NFL. They could retain the option of returning to the school and completing their degrees at a later date.

The fact you only need one year of college to be eligible for hte NBA draft is ridiculous. At least with football you need three years. It’s crazy since in the past, guys like Jordan, Barkley, Olajuwon, and others I think did the whole four years at their university.
