I was just looking for pics of children chimney sweeps in the states and ran across this, slave children doing chimney sweeping, although that picture was taken in a studio.

You have to look at that whole album. Some pretty rare pictures of slave families.

You ever see the old prison illustrations? There aren’t too many photos of course. Damn places used to be almost like dungeons. Torture was common.
