Afghanistan is such a mess. There are people trying to bring it into the 21st century, like Fereshteh Forough and her @CodetoInspire school, and @sahareducation, while at the same time Islamist militants are trying to push it back into the 8th century. The government is corrupt, and the US military presence (like every other foreign presence in history) has made little headway against the rebel factions.
