Given the peculiarity of the libel laws in the UK the amount of lost suits doesn’t necessarily tell us anything significant about the truthfulness of the person, and the amount of the suits themselves is a function of Hislop telling controversial things - whether they’re true or not. That is not my main issue with his account. My main issue is that this is merely a memory of a phonecall, with quite possible distortion of details and nuances (not necessarily intended, I might note). This piece can in no way be credibly used to call Assange an antisemite.
