Video: No Global Warming in the Last 10 Years?

Just a couple thoughts:

Science by consensus is not science. There is ample data to bring support to both sides of this argument. I have read hundreds of peer reviewed papers that firmly argue against AGW. There are hundreds of scientists that firmly dispute the UN study claiming AGW is fact and not speculation.

It is simply truth that with the massive temperature drop in the earth’s temperature last year, and its continued low value this year, if you look back only 11 years there has been no effective change in temperature.

The key to this is that no one knows why. No one. Current speculation seems to point to the Sun being very quiet past 2 years. The most quiet it has been in over 100 years. In fact some solar scientists now believe that solar cycle 24 was skipped altogether. And some speculate that we may be entering a new “little ice age” as in the late 1600s to the early 1800s. True? No one knows. There is much science to be done yet.

My point here is that if any one definitely states that global warming is occurring and that man is the cause – they are not a scientist. Scientific method simply forbids this kind of statement until a hypothesis has been tested and proven. That has not occurred in the case of global warming. There are hundreds of papers offering alternative views that simply can not be discarded because it does not fit the global warming story line.

It has not been proven that CO2 is a cause of global warming at all or that it is even a “green house gas”. Again, I am using the scientific definition of a “proof”. In fact, the largest single “green house gas” is water vapor – by orders of magnitude. Are we next going to cover the oceans with plastic to prevent evaporation?

Please, let the science continue, and a true scientific debate continue. But to categorically state that global warming exists insults everything science is.
