Which is why I repeatedly said that the LAW had no business removing it, but I absolutely support the individuals who couldn’t stomach seeing it. Let the cops take a day off without pay or something, but this is last on the list of abuses of Governmental power that bother me.
I’d have probably done the same thing the police did. Cops are human (and American) and have visceral reactions. An upside down flag is a trigger to a lot of people much like a burning flag is. I don’t want to see it, and if it costs me my job to stop it, then so be it.
