Also, there’s this business where Obama showed his work (i.e., the message explaining the veto). If the GOP Congress was too eager to score the “political victory” of a veto override to read the damn message, that says more about Congress than the President.

What’s even more baffling is that all Senate Democrats (except for Reid) went along with the Republicans for this override. Hell, Franken (among others) even co-sponsored the Senate bill, FFS; for such a policy wonk, I would think that he would be able to see that this bill was a very bad idea.

I swear, we Democrats can be our own worst enemies sometimes, because this was nothing but craven election-year pandering.
