re: #91 wheat-dogg
I’ve got mine restricted only to people with connections to my existing connections, but none of them bother with getting intros from those existing connections. I treat them like a cold call, as in I don’t pick up the phone and/or I don’t engage in conversation. I’ll check their bios for possible connections from workplaces or schools, and if there are none, I ignore them. If they want to connect with me that badly, they can send me a message or find me elsewhere on the Web.
Lazy people.
I don’t have a LinkedIn account and never did. Nevertheless, LinkedIn “connexions” used to fill my E-mail box (asking me to sign up for the service) until I wrote them and told them to take me off their list.
I got a letter back with a “you’ll be sorry because if we block your E-mail you can never sign up.” Good. I don’t want to sign up. I could not care less about LinkedIn - and the vast majority of people on that service are far above my economic stratum anyway.
