Wow. That’s brutal.
The plane was a Puerto Rico Air National Guard bird, and had apparently just departed the airport (where they also have a Gulfstream plant).
Can’t tell for sure, but the way it augured into the ground it may have had a prop go into an uncommanded reversal. It has happened before with older C-130’s.
Does that automatically cause a corkscrew effect and spin the plane right out of the sky uncontrollably?
That has to be a real tough situation for a pilot. Can they shut down the offending engine and try to regain control, or not enough time if you just took off and have no real height established yet?
