My own conspiracy theory du jour is that Republicans are purposely letting the virus run wild in Republicans states. Then they’re going to swoop in with all the PPE they’ve been withholding from NJ, NY, your blue state here and pretend they’re saving the day.

Basically:

1. Convince the rubes they’ll be fine.
2. Let said rubes start spreading COVID and dying from it.
3. Come in with as much aid as possible and tell them “Look, Trump saved you” and then gaslight them about Trump not taking it seriously (not that the rubes need help with that.)

Never attribute to malice what can be chalked up to stupidity is in full effect and what not, but I think the above isn’t that far fetched.

They’ve waited too long. People over 65 have swung towards Biden in a big way. All this would do is hold the people who were already going to vote for him. The virus is already in those states, and people are already dying.
