You know what I find really idiotic about the GOP right now?

Well, besides the anit-abortion, sharia law, birth certificate, union busting craziness?

The fact that they apparently employ the stupidest political strategists on the face of the planet. They are allegedly obsessed with retaking the White House in 2012. Any idiot with half a brain knows you can’t win the White House with far right religious conservatives as your only voting bloc, but apparently the GOP thinks otherwise because they are doing a hell of a job alienating just about anyone who isn’t part of that group.

I don’t think Huckabee, Gingrich, Romney, Santorum or Palin have a chance in hell for 2012 the way they are going. Check your calendars boys, 2012 is not far off, you need to get your shit together now if you want a solid shot at Obama.

Honestly I think all the top GOP candidates for President have damaged themselves too much with the controversial statements and Tea Party pandering to click with a wider audience.

The only for Republicans is to find a moderate leaning candidate who can click with Tea Party voters. Sadly, I seriously doubt that’s going to happen.

And the stupidest thing of all? When the Republicans fail to retake the White House in 2012, they will blame anything and anyone except themselves for the failure.

Came here to say this. How did the “He’s not one of us” strategy work out in 2008? You think its going to work after he’s got 4 years of being (a moderately successful) President under his belt?
