Either purge would condemn the party to perpetual minority status. I would say fiscal conservatism and strong defense and law & order policies are things every Republican should be able to agree upon: some of that is probably already too much for some of the “Country Club Republicans”, but the libertarian and so-con wings should be able to agree on them, and agree to disagree on other matters.
