Listen, I am for trying to work amicably with the public. But good lord, law enforcement is supposed to THE symbol of authority.

Something such as this provides nothing more than the subtle undertone of noncompliance of their stature as enforcers of the law among the population.

They have their badge and their uniform, and their brethren. A scarf’s not going to diminish that.
