Another reason not to torture: To do so, you have to hire torturers. Imagine that person, the person who wants that job of inflicting so much pain on another human being that they’ll betray everything they love and everything they hold dear. That is the guy that we’re trusting to do the right thing for the US, a guy who can, over and over again, inflict that sort of agony on another human being.
