You can still file federal civil rights suits in federal court…but nothing like this has ever happened on this scale that I know of where a state essentially voided ALL local and state civil rights laws in a secret, unannounced special session where the legislation was not revealed until 5 minutes before the vote was called.

This is the sort of thing you would associate with Reconstruction Era North Carolina.
