McConnell indicated months ago that Trump has until Labor Day to get it together. Then McConnell takes him up to the woods behind the north 40.

Yeah, I’ll second #79 : What’s Mitch gonna do? Threaten to block Trump’s legislative agenda? Not consider another gang of hack appointees? By this point (and Labor Day is, what? Two weeks away?) the numbers look pretty baked-in: I think the best/worst Mitch can do is figuratively cut loose from Trump - if that’s even possible - and try to salvage as many House/Senate seats as the GOP can: to try to maximize their leverage in a Biden Administration. Maybe.
