I know we have a number of people who went to law school here. I am going to say that there was never a discussion in my law school about American law being based on “the original lawgiver, Moses” or on “Judeo-Christian ethics” or anything like that. American law is based on English common law. Not even our very “I’m Christian and I wear it on my sleeve” Constitutional Law professor said anything as stupid as that.
