You’re mistaken, the US has been pretty clearly shown to have deeply racist elements, and they’re not that uncommon.

Obama’s election came for a variety of reasons, but it was despite racism.

I am comparing the US to other nations. Western nations are by far the least racist there are. The US may have some deeply racist elements, and it may look terrible to some, but believe me, it’s nothing by comparison. I’m not even talking about ghastly obvious examples like apartheid. I’m talking about everyday, institutionalised racism, like how America must have been when blacks weren’t allowed to own property or the like.
