Some folks are stupid and did stupid things - like windsurfing after the hurricane or attempting to drive through flooded roads.

But many others who died in and after the storm were doing things that were common and ordinary - trying to clear debris after the storm (tree branch struck and killed one person in NJ), attempting to clear a basement of flooded water (heart attack), or a good samaritan who died saving a kid who was near downed lines and was electrocuted.
