My favorite hotel shower was in Istanbul. It was down the hall. They lit the wood fire under the water heater (in the same room with the shower and the toilet) in advance, so the whole room heated nicely. It was January.

Some of the Japanese hotels I stayed at had awesome showers. Big bathtubs, roomy, almost sauna like.
