Maybe Uber & Lyft should have spent the $8 million they dropped pushing Prop 1 on getting their “independent contractors” to meet the local ride-hailing ordinances

Or maybe the cab companies could have gotten over themselves and allowed Uber and Lyft to compete in the market when they saw how DWIs were dropping after ride sharing got here.

I’m genuinely pissed that Uber and Lyft are leaving. This hurts people like me who don’t own cars. Now I’m stuck with the horrible taxi companies again. It’s like going back to McDonald’s after you’ve had gourmet food.
