He was in Pakistan, now he’s in Russia. The Urdu poetry came up in a conversation with a Pakistani reporter. I assume the Pushkin came up because he’s in Russia.

No conspiracy here, just a well-read guy making allusions when appropriate— and btw, to audiences that would certainly be able to bust him if he were faking it.
