re: #932 Irish Rose

The word “progressive” has become the new right-wing attack word.

Hardcore wingers like Walter hurl it at anyone who has the audacity to disagree with them, no matter who they are … even if they’re fellow Repubicans.

It’s a tactic that they use to anger others, deflect criticism and discredit an ideological opponent… one that is typically used by right-wing bullies who can’t carry their own weight in an honest debate.

Sorry, but I think it’s more descriptive than used as an ad hominim. The “progressive” agenda has been around for awhile now, and point by point is anathema to what this countries foundations were.

Interesting that during the primaries Hillary went to great lengths to not have the label of “liberal” attached to her, which imho did start to become a sort of attack word. She stated that she was a progressive!

What a nice sounding word,,, PROGRESSIVE ,, well,, isn’t EVERYONE (cept perhaps ther Amish) FOR PROGRESS? But at it’s roots the theories go agaisnt traditional American values
