Given how he has next to nothing for the pitiful bribes he offers, I don’t think so either. I think he does what he does out of the most pure of motives: spite, hate, and envy. Those are his virtues, such as they are.

He’s not stupid, per se. I have no doubt he is trying to parley this whole thing into a moneymaking operation. But he’s an amateur and his grandiosity (maybe not the right word- self importance?) makes him incompetent.
