I do have to agree with my mom that about the only way any of this shit is going to get fixed is for us to suffer through a Republican president and have it blow up in everyone’s face. We both agreed that it’ll hurt a lot of people who knew to keep him out of office, but all of the other people need to be jarred to their senses. It’s just going to really hurt.

I will admit that I clearly misjudged how much the 25 year whisper campaign doomed her chance. I figured people would want the competent one in office. Oh, well. But Republicans may have well just built on her win as just more ways to convince people that Democrats are the ones hurting them.

I don’t really buy this argument when Bros make it to me so I can’t really buy it here. We were assured that Dubya wasn’t going to make it past a single term, that he was gonna be such a fuck-up that voters would realize their mistake and reject him after a single term. Then 9/11 happened, Iraq happened, and suddenly Democrats were viewed as unpatriotic assholes for not supporting the “war time president.” Without the Great Recession, it’s possible that McCain might have been able to fool enough voters into believing that the Iraq War was too important to be left up to a junior senator with no military experience.

So yeah, I can’t buy this argument. Why? Because I can’t say with any level of certainty that there won’t be another major terrorist attack or major event that won’t turn Trump from the most corrupt asshole to ever inherit the White House into the second-coming of St. Ron.
