When all the other crap subsides, in a couple months, I want to pick brains about the current state of hi-fi. My good old speakers have lost their foam, and my cd-changer died.
The most techie of my kids makes me think no one cares about fidelity in the world of MP3 over smartphones.

In my garage I have a yamaha natural sound receiver and four bookshelf speakers mounted on the wall. What makes it pop is the separately powered subwoofer. Gotta have the bottom end.
