We were in a position to start improving energy efficiency, enhancing public transportation, conservation and basic technologies like passive solar, but that did not fit in with the GOP vision of America: we still like to measure our wealth and prosperity in terms of how many resources we consume.

I was out the other night and walked past a TV that had Tucker Carlson on. Swear to God, the story was about how renewable energy was the real reason for whatever power crisis he was lying about; I’m guessing TX.
