I’ve had black pudding before, as Blutwurst during a “Sample authentic German Food” party in my German class freshman year in high school.

We were led to believe that it was put into goat scrotum. My friends referred to it as “goat scroats” all throughout high school. In order to gag it down I drowned it in mustard and basically swallowed it whole.

I didn’t see a reference to scrotum in that wiki article which makes me think that was one our teacher’s many gags on the students, one which I have believed for about 20 years now.
