In the streets of Cairo, many protesters are now openly denouncing the United States for supporting President Hosni Mubarak, saying the price has been their freedom. They say the Obama administration has offered only tepid criticism of a regime that has received billions of dollars in U.S. aid.

bullshit…$1.6b in US aid has almost entirely been spent on military affairs…these people are just passing the blame off to the Great Satan for their own weaknesses…to my knowledge the US has never impressed on Mu how to treat his own citizens

Egyptian citizens have been handed over for ‘enhanced interragations’ Mubarak style if I’m not mistaken. Might not be telling him how to run his shop but it sure seems like we didn’t mind.
