It’s a pretty odd conversation to be having with an employee.
I don’t recall ever having a boss who thought it was important to make the point that I was the same height/shorter than/taller than his wife.
You’ve worked in HR before. How common is it for someone to make allegations like this just to get some settlement money on their way out the door? Can you infer anything from the settlement amount, was it just cheaper for them to pay her off instead of fighting it?
