So how many people must be hacked to death with a machete before a religion loses it’s “religion of peace” designation? Is there a set number? Do the crusades count? Or is there a statute of limitations on when violence in the name of your savior doesn’t count anymore?

you’re right. i believe exactly the same thing as the crusaders did.
