This is all so complex that neither side seems to be able to decipher it with a coherent policy. Much like the details of this meltdown were too complex due to the labrynthine financial schemes that were at its foundation.
Now is the time, I think, to lay down some basic, easily understandable principles that contrast the differences between the two parties so that the American people can see the different paths ahead of them.
