OT:

Day 6 of the unintended extended UK vacation.

We are now Internally Displaced Persons. After having three flights cancelled in Edinburgh (where our next window was April 27th), we have trained to Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, to She Who Must Be Obeyed’s sister’s home, for a booked flight out on April 24th to Houston.

The cloud is now referred to as the Gigantic Icelandic Pain in the Ash.

Best joke so far:

“The dying Icelandic economy’s dying wish was that its ashes be scattered over Europe.”

Ha ha!

So far:

Extra cash spent: $1200.

Vacation time lost: 24 hours @ $30/hour.
