You know I’m not for Sharia Law being enforced on anyone, right? Bag? You know that too, right? This is about their choice (as it were) to bind themselves to the rulings of their religious community. And quite frankly I wouldn’t shed a tear if that choice were taken away, but as the law stands it is available to them. If there’s a proposal in Britain to end religious arbitration I’m down with it.
Some people just don’t understand that the concept of freedom of religion, like freedom of speech, exist precisely to protect things we are uncomfortable with/find repugnant.
