Happens all the time. When the left sees homophobia coming from within the black community it is disregarded or minimized as being “part of their culture.” Because of that it is sometimes defended.

Prop 8 is a perfect example.

Many Black and Latino churches came out against it but who got the firestorm? The Mormons.
