Back when I was in LA, I once flipped off a driver that was being a total jackass. My reward for this was getting tailgated half way to work, deliberately bumped when stopped at a light, and getting left with the firm conviction that if the jackass had a gun in his glove box, he’d have taken a shot or two.

Since then, I’ve pretty much avoided escalating traffic situations.

I learned to drive in the Chicagoland area, so my driving is by nature very aggressive and angry. Also, driving through the downtown area of the Twin Cities tends to skew my driving in that direction. I’m hoping that I can keep it enough under control that I don’t cause any accidents - this is the first time in my life where I have two fine, respectable automobiles, and I don’t need to be wrecking either of them.
