Pardon me.

HaHaHaHaHaHaHaaaaa.

Okay then. Another day of Chuckin’ it.

Regarding Grover Norquist. I flipped on the Rev’s show yesterday as I like following him when he has some major African American topics to cover like all this going on in South Carolina.

He had Grover on along with another guy by the name of Wade Henderson and the Rev said the piece would be about cooperation between strange bedfellows. Apparently all three are working on major prison reforms. They went on to explain that our prison system is way screwed up and once someone does get out, the stigma is so strong they can rarely get a decent job and how that affects our entire society.

They want sentence reforms for lesser offenses. They also want less stringent records that bog the prisoner down after he is out. Their thinking was once you pay your price you shouldn’t have this record hanging over uyour head for the rest of your life, especially for lesser crimes like drug offenses, etc.

Norquist’s thinking is that the government can be saving a lot of money with reform and also the whole American society will benefit if people could get back in the job market and be able to earn their way, etc. He was coming at it as a business Republican.

It was a pretty good piece. It actually made me change my mind about Norquist a teeny tiny little bit.

Here is a link to Shaprton’s Politics Nation site which has video up from yesterday. Check it out.
