By that timeline, he had cancer for a long time but never went to the doctor and just shrugged off whatever he was feeling as just another hangover or to his usual health.

I lost a friend of mine earlier this year to cancer. He went to a doctor thinking he had pneumonia or a flu and it turned out to be Stage IV cancer. He came home to Texas for treatment and to be with family but by that point it was too late. He was gone in a few months after coming home.

Wasn’t it a show in Austin where he came out on stage and couldn’t perform?

He’d probably been sick for a while.
