No, as much as I detest Microsoft, I don’t think they put it out thinking it was a failure and therefore should be pushed out the door as quickly as possible. I just think they realized that they had no revenue stream coming from operating system sales and they couldn’t keep the company afloat without something selling. The problem is, they set the hardware bar for Vista so high no one could really run it.
