My fiance is a systems engineer with a long list of certifications and 15 years experience under his belt, and he’s been out of work for a year and a half. We can’t buy an engagement ring until he’s back to work, and it’s breaking his heart. Mine too.

I’ll be glad when the economy starts to rebound, is this is a glimmer of hope perhaps that things are starting to turn around?

I have 30 years as a programmer and I can’t get full time work in my field. I’ve been looking for 5 years.
