I am with you there.

They beat us by ORGANIZING — coffees, extracurricular games for the kids, neighborhood speakers, potluck suppers, door-to-door efforts —- committed people talking to their neighbors in every town and precinct — and then meshing it all on the internet. We used to do some of this in the old days — dunno what’s happened recently except our candidates and party have gone downhill far and fast. The Dems, on the other hand, didn’t care who their candidate was going to be — they just cared about setting up the organization that would push a Democrat into office.

In any event, we need to do NOW what they did to get back in the game.

It would help if we had a Soros type who is as dedicated to liberty as George is to socialism. Some financial and organizational backing to get things going would be terrific — but we can do it without if necessary. Michael Steele is a good organizer. Maybe he’ll be the one to get it going.

We should wait for a leader to emerge. We can start small and use place like LGF to link our effort. In a way Obama is right: “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.” Skillful conservative organizing can take those words and send them back on him like a boomerang. the best part is that volunteer will be at least partially in line with his own calls for service and thus will be harder to attack.
