re: #963 Afrocity

He meant people of color. My brother is 15 years my senior. He grew up during the civil rights era and militant Black man days. I don’t agree with him but this is typical of the mindset of many blacks who voted for Obama. Saying Obama is all we have is IMHO pretty sad news for Blacks if he is the standard. It also discounts the multitudes of other respected people of color. IMHO all you ever need is you.

I am so glad you are younger than your brother and more discriminating in that you will not settle for the first thing that comes along or appeals to people’s first impressions only.

I pray Obama would do like Ronald Reagan, who though a life long FDR democrat, came to see from personal experience some of the inherent problems with collectivist philosophies. Reagan was able to re-invent himself in the school of hard knocks, and come out a better, more profoundly American man.

If Obama were big enough to change while in office and repudiate much of the leftist dogma he was raised on, taught in college & in Chicago, that would be the best gift to the planet.

Let’s pray for a miracle, and that Obama doesn’t have a nervous breakdown but a conversion on the road to Damascus! Like the Apostle Paul who was hunting down people whose philosophy he disagreed with, until he saw the light. May Obama get back to wonderul American fundamental principles of individual liberty, right to individual property, and the freedom of individuals to live their lives without undue government interference.
